Brief business description

Built in 1897 as a music hall The Middlesbrough Empire has played host to a variety of performers from Charlie Chaplin to Paul Oakenfold to the Scissor Sisters. Since being bought in 1991 by Barry Faulkner, he has transformed the derelict building into one of the country's finest venues/nightclubs. The Empire now retains all its former glory with 3 floors dedicated to style and music.

Great

Empire is usually a great night out as they have a lot of live music on from big bands to unsigned acts to big name djs.Love funky is a great night out which happens on a Friday every month. Its usually about �£10 to get in I think but drinks aren’t too badly priced in comparison. They do under 18s event too to keep the young ones entertained.The decor is great with three levels with balconies and stages. There’s a different type of music on each floor. Ques to the bar can be a bit of a nightmare but to be fair that’s the case everywhere. You should usually expect to queue to get in.
